By using OhmBase ("the app"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
OhmBase is a field tools application for electricians. It provides NEC-referenced calculators, hours tracking, job management, certification tracking, material estimation, bid building, and wage rate tools. It is designed as a professional reference and productivity aid.
OhmBase is a reference tool, not a replacement for professional training, licensing, or judgment. All calculations, NEC code references, wire sizing recommendations, conduit fill results, voltage drop estimates, and other outputs are provided for reference purposes only. You are responsible for verifying all results against the applicable edition of the National Electrical Code and any local amendments before applying them to real electrical work. Electrical work performed incorrectly can cause property damage, injury, or death. Always follow applicable codes, standards, and the direction of qualified professionals.
OhmBase references values and concepts from the National Electrical Code (NEC), published by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). All NEC content in the app is paraphrased and provided for educational and reference purposes. OhmBase is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or licensed by NFPA. The NEC is updated on a three-year cycle; the app may reference values from a specific edition that may not match the edition adopted in your jurisdiction. Always verify against your locally adopted code.
Wage rates displayed in OhmBase may come from three sources: built-in published rates for select IBEW locals, user-entered rates stored on your device, or community-submitted rates that have been reviewed and added to the app. We make reasonable efforts to verify published rates but do not guarantee their accuracy or currency. Collective bargaining agreements change periodically, and the rates in the app may not reflect the most recent agreement. You are responsible for verifying your actual wage rates with your local union, employer, or collective bargaining agreement.
All data is stored locally on your device. OhmBase does not provide cloud storage, sync, or backup services. If you clear your browser data, reset your device, or uninstall the app, your data may be permanently lost. We strongly recommend using the app's built-in backup export feature regularly. We are not responsible for any data loss.
OhmBase is provided as-is. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, compatibility with all devices, or freedom from bugs. We may update, modify, or discontinue the app at any time without notice.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, OhmBase and its developer shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app. This includes but is not limited to damages arising from incorrect calculations, inaccurate code references, data loss, wage estimation errors, or any decisions made based on information provided by the app. Your use of OhmBase is entirely at your own risk.
OhmBase, its design, code, and content are the property of its developer. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer the app without written permission. "OhmBase" is a trademark of its developer.
If you submit wage rate data through the app's submission feature, you grant OhmBase a perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use, modify, and distribute that data within the app for the benefit of all users. You represent that any data you submit is accurate to the best of your knowledge and does not violate any confidentiality agreements.
We may update these terms at any time. Changes take effect when posted. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
